Connect PaidSoon to Xero
Authorise PaidSoon to read overdue invoices from your Xero organisation.
Connect your Xero organisation so PaidSoon can automatically import overdue invoices and start sending reminder sequences on your behalf.
Before you start
- You need to be signed in to PaidSoon and have admin access to the Xero organisation you want to connect.
- Each PaidSoon account has a limit on how many invoice sources (Stripe and accounting connections combined) it can connect at once — check your plan's connection limit under Settings → Connections if you already have a connection set up.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Connections (
/dashboard/settings/connections). - Under Accounting Integrations, find the Xero card and click Connect Xero.
- You'll be redirected to Xero to sign in and authorise PaidSoon.
- If your Xero login has access to more than one organisation, Xero will ask you to pick one on PaidSoon's organisation-selection screen before continuing.
- Once authorised, PaidSoon redirects you back to Settings → Connections.
What you'll see
Right after connecting, the Xero card shows a status of Importing… while PaidSoon pulls in your overdue invoices for the first time. This can take a little while for organisations with a lot of invoice history.
First sync still running?
If the card still says Importing… after a minute or two, click Sync now on the card to retry. If it shows Sync error, click Retry sync — if it keeps failing, contact support@paidsoon.com.au.
What happens next
Once the status badge changes to Active, your overdue Xero invoices appear in your PaidSoon dashboard and are eligible for automated reminder sequences based on your reminder schedule. PaidSoon keeps syncing periodically after the first import, and you can trigger a manual Sync now at any time from the connection card.
Common problems
- "No organisations found in your account" — make sure the Xero user you signed in with has access to at least one organisation.
- Connection stuck on "Sync error" — click Retry sync. If it fails repeatedly, disconnect and reconnect Xero.
- Reached your connection limit — disconnect an unused source under Settings → Connections, or upgrade your plan for a higher connection limit.
